Our Story

Ronald Leonard Egesa, then a second year student of Civil Engineering, assembled a team of 8 fellow students who were computer enthusiasts from the Faculties of Technology and Statistics at Makerere University Kampala to form a group that was called Magezi Software Developers. This Software Development Group started working on software projects and members who were not comfortable in software development left the group, which saw the membership reduced to three, namely; Ronald Leonard Egesa, Ronald Lukwago and David Ssali.

Magezi Solutions was registered as a business name by Ronald Leonard Egesa and it operated in this state until April 2008 when it was duly incorporated as Magezi Solutions Ltd, with Ronald Leonard Egesa, Ronald Lukwago and David Ssali as Company Directors. Ronald Leonard Egesa became Chief Executive Officer, Ronald Lukwago was Chief Design Officer and David Ssali was the Chief Technical Officer.

Every day more big scooped the Best Electrical Engineering and Overall Exhibitor’s Awards at the Annual Technology Open Day at Faculty of Technology Makerere University. The Award in 2007 was won by the inaugural Academic Records Information System -Magezi Harvest. The Magezi Harvest system was first used in Old Kampala Senior Secondary School in the same year and it marked the transition of Magezi Software Developers into Magezi Solutions

July 2009 David Ssali quit the company and joined Computer Frontiers International, leaving Ronald Leonard Egesa and Ronald Lukwago as the Directors in the Company. The two have continued to steer the company and transformed it into an Industry Top Player in areas of Web Applications and Mobile Value Added Services Technology development, deployment and Support.

July 2011 the company embarked on creating centres in the cities of Nairobi, Kigali and Dar-es-Salaam. We also added a number of Telecom networks from the East African region and South Africa on the list of networks supported on our bulk text messaging system.
